Stephen W. Gutkin is Director, Scientific Publication Writing, with Ascentage Pharma Group (Suzhou, China, and Rockville, MD). A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University, Stephen is the author of a textbook (Writing High-Quality Medical Publications, CRC Handbooks, Taylor & Francis), which culminated 30 years of experience in medical writing and editorial management, and is also co-author of 14 papers in the peer-reviewed literature. A nearly lifelong grammarian, Mr. Gutkin was published in late rhetorician William Safire's New York Times "On Language" column. Stephen resides in Bergen County, NJ, with his wife, college-aged son, and colorful pet menagerie.
